Terms of Use
Last updated: August 8, 2026. These terms (also serving as our End User License Agreement for portal and QuickBooks-connected features) govern use of itnorth.net and the IT North client portal.
Agreement
By accessing our website or portal, you agree to these terms. If you use the portal on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Services
IT North provides managed IT services and a client portal for tickets, devices, messaging, and related account information. Separate service agreements, statements of work, or plan terms may apply to paid IT services; those commercial terms control if there is a conflict with this page regarding service scope or fees.
Accounts and acceptable use
You agree to:
- Provide accurate account information and keep credentials confidential.
- Use the portal only for legitimate business purposes related to your organization.
- Not attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or other customers’ data.
- Not misuse messaging, tickets, or uploads in a way that is unlawful, abusive, or infringing.
We may suspend or terminate access for security reasons, nonpayment, or violation of these terms.
License to use the portal
Subject to these terms, IT North grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the portal features made available to your role (client user, company administrator, or IT North staff). You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the portal software except as allowed by law.
QuickBooks Online integration
When IT North connects the portal to QuickBooks Online, the integration may create or update customers, items, time activities, invoices, and estimates, and may display invoice and payment information to authorized portal users. You authorize IT North to access QuickBooks data as needed to provide those features.
QuickBooks Online is a product of Intuit Inc. Your use of QuickBooks remains subject to Intuit’s terms. We are not responsible for Intuit outages, data accuracy in QuickBooks, or changes Intuit makes to its APIs. Disconnecting the app ends further API access; it does not automatically delete historical records already created in QuickBooks or cached in the portal.
Content and intellectual property
Site and portal content, branding, and software are owned by IT North or our licensors. You retain ownership of materials you submit; you grant us a license to use them as needed to provide support and services.
Disclaimers
The website and portal are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IT North and its owners and staff are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business interruption, arising from use of the website or portal. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the website or portal is limited to the greater of one hundred dollars ($100) or the fees you paid us for portal-related services in the three months before the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited under Minnesota law, or liability under a separate signed service agreement to the extent that agreement provides otherwise.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IT North from claims arising from your misuse of the portal, violation of these terms, or infringement of others’ rights, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal and account information.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. We may modify or discontinue portal features. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in St. Louis County, Minnesota (or federal courts with jurisdiction) are the exclusive venue for disputes, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
