Last updated: August 8, 2026. This policy describes how IT North (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use itnorth.net, our client portal, and related services.
Who we are

Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and account details — name, email, phone, company name, and portal login credentials you or your organization provide.
- Service and support data — tickets, messages, device inventory, time entries, and related notes needed to deliver IT services.
- Billing-related data — when connected to QuickBooks Online, invoice, estimate, payment, and customer records synced for your organization’s account (viewed in the portal by authorized users).
- Website usage — standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and site reliability.
- Forms and assessments — information you submit through contact or assessment forms.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide managed IT, support, and portal access.
- Communicate about tickets, scheduling, and service updates.
- Sync and display billing information with QuickBooks Online when that connection is authorized by IT North staff.
- Improve our website and services, and maintain security.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
QuickBooks Online
Our portal may connect to QuickBooks Online using Intuit’s OAuth process. Access is limited to scopes needed for customers, items, time activities, invoices, estimates, and payments as configured by IT North. We do not sell QuickBooks data. Token credentials are stored securely on our servers and used only to operate the integration for IT North and our clients.
Intuit’s handling of your QuickBooks account is governed by Intuit’s own privacy policy and terms. Disconnecting the app in QuickBooks or in our admin tools stops further API access; cached billing summaries in the portal may remain until removed as part of normal account administration.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who host our website, email, or infrastructure under confidentiality obligations.
- Intuit/QuickBooks, when you or we authorize the connection, as needed to sync accounting data.
- Professional advisors or authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for an MSP portal, including access controls and HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We retain information as long as needed for service, billing, legal, and operational purposes, then delete or anonymize it when no longer required.
Your choices
Portal users can update profile details through account settings where available, or by contacting us. Company administrators can request changes to organization users. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold, email info@itnorth.net. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
Our services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or portal after changes means you accept the revised policy.
